Mad For Markers Wednesday!

Well it is Challenge time again at Mad For Markers and this fortnights challenge we want you to use colors from the one family. Now I have to admit that I my card this week is not completely from one color family, sorry Sammi!! But if you head over to the M4M Blog you will see some gorgeous cards that are all from the one color group. And come back next week where I promise to have my one color family card for you. Now you have until Sunday the 9th of May to get your entries in and the winner of this challenge will get a $10 voucher to spend at Mad For Markers. Mad For Markers is now also selling to New Zealand, so if you are looking for some copics and are from New Zealand, you can now order from Mad For Markers all your copic addiction needs...hehe!

So I have done this card for a friend of mine who has had a little boy last week and am hoping to go and see her later this week. I just love babies!! So onto my card,  I have sprayed some Caramel Apple Shimmer Mist across the top and bottom of this card to help it blend with the rest of the colors. I also didn't have the right colored pearls or hat pin, so I have colored them with my copics to match. Now very soon we will have a tutorial over at the M4M blog on how to color embellishments using your copics, so stay tuned for that, you won't want to miss it!

Copic Colors
Hair - E47, E55, E53
Skin - E11, E00, R20
Baby's Hair - E47, E55
Baby's Blanket - B97, B95, B93

M4M Red Hair Coloring Tutorial

Hi There, it's Wednesday, which means it's Mad For Markers Day. So here is my Red Hair Coloring tutorial that I have put together for M4M. Now I do have to add that I am not Copic Certified, although in only a few short weeks I will be certified as I have got a spot in the very first Certification class being held in Melbourne next month...YAY!!!! I am sooooo excited and can't wait. Now back to my tutorial, sorry just had to share my very exciting news......now this is just the way that I color my Red heads, there are plenty of different color combos you can use, but this is the one that I use.

Copic Colors Used
E09, E08, E17

So first up take your E09 and color a small section of the top and bottom of the fringe, like in the photo below. Then still using you E09 put a little bit of color through the rest of the hair. As this is your darkest color I used it to add color where you would get shadow at the back of the neck.

Next up take your E17 and color a little more of the top and bottom of your fringe, like in the photo below. And then again add some more color into the rest of the hair. I tend to stay close to where I have put the E09. See the photo below.

Next up take your E08 and color the rest of the top and bottom of the fringe, leaving a small line of white across the middle of the fringe, like in the photo below. Then still using your E08 color the rest of the hair blending as you go. I like to blend using small circles. After you have finished blending go back with your white gel pen and add in some highlights through the back of the hair.

So there you have your finished Red Head. I have to admit that this is my all time favourite Red combo. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial and if you have any qestions please feel free to ask away. Also if you head over to the Mad For Markers Store, the amazing Sammi has my Red Hair colors on special for the rest of this week, so pop on over and grab them if you don't have them!
Have a great Wednesday and Happy Coloring!

TGF Battle Round 3 - The Scrapbook Page!

Well thanks to Frans amazing easel card the Down Under Divas has made it through to round 3 in the TGF battle. So this weeks challenge was a Scrapbook Page so I decided to take on the challenge. Now I haven't scrapped for about 12 months, so this was the perfect opportunity for me to get back into it, and I have to say that I really enjoyed it. This picture is of my gorgeous twin girls Lily and Charlotte. Now it is not very often that I get them to sit still long enough to get a picture of them together, but for some reason this day they were very co-operative and this picture was the result. I absolutely love this picture of them!

I have added this close up picture of my Princess Anya's so that you can see the glimmer mist I have added to them. It's a bit hard to see it on the big picture, but it has a gorgeous glimmer to it up close and personal.
So if you head over to here, you can leave us your vote to help us get through to the next round!

AnyaInk and Anyone for Anya

A friend of mine asked me to make her a card for her sisters wedding at the end of April and I thought what will I do, then I remembered that I had the TGF Cake Topper stamp which I had yet to ink up, so this was the perfect opportunity to get it wet...haha! I just love this stamp it is so adorable. My friend told me that her sisters dress was red, as this is her favourite color. So I decided to keep with that color when I made the card. This photo doesn't really show the sparkle on the flower at the top and on the bow of the dress, but believe me it sure does sparkle! I am now going to go on the hunt for a box tutorial to fit the card into. Anyway I hope my friend and her sister like the card!

Now I am sorry, but I colored this picture in a couple of weeks ago and have only just put the card together and I didn't write down my copic list. Sorry Guys!!

I hope everyone had a Great Easter however you spent it and the Easter Bunny didn't bring you too much chocolate...cause I know he brought way too much to my house.

I have entered this card into the following challenges:
AnyaInk - Anything Goes
Anyone For Anya - Anything Goes
